Pirate Leggings with your SERGER!

Learn some basics of sewing on a serger, as well as how to hem using a flatlock stitch. I will guide you through making the Peg Leg leggings pattern from Patterns for Pirates!
Skills you’ll learn:
● Using a serger
● Working with knit fabric
● Working from a pattern
● Attaching a knit band
● Finishing thread tails
● Flatlock hemming
Student supplies:
Proof of pattern download from Patterns for Pirates:
(It’s a free pattern, but I will provide printed large formats and want to ensure its downloaded, so we are supporting the pattern designer)
Appropriate amount of fabric based on sizing chart in pattern with 50% four-way stretch
Tools/Supplies student should bring
Soft measuring tape, sewing clips/pins, scissors/rotary cutter, cutting mat, ruler
Students need to bring their own serger and manual, along with toolkit for threading
(tweezers, screwdriver/hexkey for changing needles)
Recommended to bring notebook + pen for noting stitch settings
